Faionalave becomes VTO’s new chairman

On Thursday 19th April, the Vanuatu Tourism Office marked a historical moment as the institution’s General Manager, Ms Linda Kalpoi, hosted a combined farewell and welcome tea for both the outgoing and new chairman of the VTO Board, witnessed by Management and staff of the VTO. The afternoon speeches were of courage and assurance from VTO’s new chair of Board Mr Noel Faionalave to former, Mr Charles Lini, declaring that he will perform to the best of his capabilities so the value in leadership left by the former chairman continues to uphold the integrity of the Board, General Manager and staff of the Vanuatu Tourism Office. An inspirational exchange of thanks and encouragement from Mr Lini (wearing red shirt, right image) followed on after Mr Faionalave’s speech as he emphasized that a chairman’s success comes from working closely not only with Government and Board members, but most importantly building a good relationship with the institution through the General Manager, her Managers and staff, to ensure that goals and targets are being met as expected by the Board and Government. Mr Lini congratulated Mr Faionalave’s new lead as chairman and asked for Management and staff of VTO to continuously show the same support and cooperation to Mr Noel Faionalave  as during his chairmanship in the last 2 years. The Board, Management, and staff of the VTO would like to acknowledge Mr Lini for his support towards Vanuatu Tourism during his reign as chair, and look forward to welcoming onboard and working closely with Mr Noel Faionalave as the new chairman.
