Origin Culinary Arts & Hospitality Show is heating up!

For release: Exciting times are ahead for the competitors of the Origin Culinary Arts & Hospitality Show.  The organizers have locked down the competition schedule and Chefs, Bar Staff, Baristas, Wait Staff and Housekeepers are out there practicing their skills to take on their mates in a fun, exciting and pressure competition. The showground between Chantillys and Moorings is being decked out in banners to let everyone know where the hottest competition is going to be on 21st – 25th October. The competition is about encouraging local NiVanuatu Chefs to show off their skills, and over recent times the addition of the Cocktail Maker of the Year; Housekeeper of the Year and the Barista Championship have added to this extraordinary event. The prestigious Origin Restaurant Challenge, won last year by the Holiday Inn will be hugely contested. With 100,000 vatu up for grabs, Iririki Island Resort, Moorings, Coconut Palms, La Tentation, Warwick Le Lagon  will be hoping to head off current champions Holiday Inn in contesting this great event on Friday 25th at 10.00am.
Origin Restaurant Challenge requires the establishment to enter a team consisting of two Chefs and two Wait staff. The Chefs cook a special 3 course meal (entrée, main & dessert) and the Wait Staff serve the meal, explain the dish and serve the accompanying wine
International and local Judges will judge the event on a number of criteria including the professionalism of the team. The event is free for the public to come and watch and see what is going on and is one of the many great events on throughout the week.
