Australian product managers get first-hand Vanuatu update

Press release 20th November 2013:  VTO hosted eight Australian product managers and two trade media in Vanuatu last week to provide them with updates and introduce new products for their consideration.  The six-day famil was hosted by the VTO and Australian representative Anne Morris and included: Claudia Ibanez-Formas, Flight  Centre, Robyn Brown, Creative Holidays, Lauren Grech, Pinpoint Group, Sarah Beeken, Vanuatu Escapes, Craig Robinson, Relaxaway Holidays, Dennis Basham, Virgin Australia Holidays, Andrew Collins,, Alaine Dunn, Fusion Holidays, Anne Majumdar, Travel Today and Kate Webster, Karryon. The famil begun with the whole group being hosted by Warwick Le Lagon and a scrumptious welcome dinner at Wild Ginger.  
The group then split into two travelling to Tanna and Espiritu Santo for a two day and one night tour to show a glimpse of what these outer islands offer.  The Tanna group were hosted at White Grass Ocean Resort, Tanna Lodge and Tanna Evergreen and undertook a tour to the mighty Mount Yasur Volcano and also cultural village visits at Lekalangia village and the Black Magic Village.  Friendly Bungalows also put on a show by bringing the nearby villages to the property and showcasing the cultural tours with a festival atmosphere amongst the beachside property.

In Espiritu Santo the group were hosted by Beachfront Resort and Deco Stop and were shown various properties around the island and sites including Champagne Beach, Blue Holes and one diver was lucky enough to dive the President Coolidge.  The second day on Espiritu Santo saw the group travelling between the island resorts of Aore, Bokissa and Ratua Private Island where they had some time to relax and enjoy the water-sporting activities. Back to Port Vila the group were hosted by Iririki Island Resort and Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu.  At Iririki the resort showcased its new Real Pasifik Banquet using the same menu from the recent TV show, which has aired in New Zealand and soon in Australia, from chef Robert Oliver.   At Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu the group were given a different site inspection which involved a drawing competition in the kids club and cocktail making at the pool bar. The two days in Port Vila were packed with property site inspections, hosted lunches at Hideaway Island and The Havannah and the whole group took to the jungle canopy and had some fun on the Zipline. The jam packed week ended with the spectacular fire dance show at The Beach Bar on Friday night.
