New check in times to improve on time performance

Air Vanuatu has announced new check-in time requirements in an effort to improve on time performance. Passengers now departing on international flights are required to check in well before one hour prior to departure. “Our check-in counters will close 60 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time of all international flights,” CEO Joseph Laloyer said.
“This new measure will ensure our back of office operations are completed in a timely manner, as well as allowing sufficient time for passengers to complete departure formalities including immigration, security and customs clearances and to collect duty free purchases before departure.”
Passengers holding tickets with Air Vanuatu, Air New Zealand, Fiji Airways, Solomon Airlines, Qantas and Air Calin will all be subjected to the new requirements.
Similarly, check in for domestic flights in Vanuatu will now close 45 minutes prior to departure.
“We are confident the new check-in times will greatly improve our on time performance,” Mr. Laloyer said.
