Fest Napuan 2014 Press Release - Unelco becomes a major sponsor for Fest Napuan

UNELCO, Fest Napuan's Major sponsor has contributed 700,000vt towards the 2014 event. The picture shows UNELCO's Alexia Courville formally making the hand-over to Fest Napuan Committee Chairman Mark Taiki.
With less than 2months to go until Fest’Napuan, the participating artist list is now confirmed, as well as details of some of the side events that will be happening during this week-long festival. With the help of our generous sponsors including UNELCO and NC Premiere One TV station, this year’s event will be biggest music festival in the region. New opportunities to partner with media and sponsors have been developed also bringing the event into the homes of many thousands of listeners around the world, both through live radio broadcasts and social media. Earlier this year a partnership agreement was signed with the Melanesian Television Network to broadcast highlights from this year’s event to our overseas viewers.

Last year’s event was a great success with over 50 food stalls and over 10,000 people viewing the performances at Saralana Park. The organising committee this year hope to bring you an amazing show with best musicians the Pacific has to offer.

The Festival will start on the 10th of September. The week-long event will begin with Fest Nalenga which will feature the countries best string-band groups. Fest’Napuan will take place in the next 3days from the 11th till the 13th where the region’s popular/contemporary bands will be showcasing their material. The festival will then finish on Sunday the 14th with the annual Zion Fest.

Twelve Vanuatu bands have been selected to perform at Fest’Napuan. We will also have 8 international bands performing during the three days (11th -13th of September). In addition 26 local gospel groups and 2 international artists will be playing at Zion Fest on Sunday the14th of September.
