Tok Tok Vanuatu just around the corner

Press release, 11 August 2014: The days are counting down before Vanuatu enters another exciting Tok Tok which will commence on August 25th and end on 30th. Recently, the event’s major sponsor, ANZ Bank, handed over its sponsorship of over 1 million vatu to the Tok Tok Committee pledging its continuous support and loyalty towards the development of the tourism industry in Vanuatu and the national carrier Air Vanuatu, with their ongoing support in flying buyers globally. Mr Thomas Tait of Holiday Inn Resort, acknowledged ANZ and Air Vanuatu for their ongoing support towards Tok Tok Vanuatu 13th event since its establishment in 2001.  The Tok Tok Committee also acknowledges other Sponsors for their contribution including Telecom Vanuatu Ltd, UNELCO Ltd, Entani Company, South Pacific Tourism Organization, Fiji Airways, Airports Vanuatu Ltd and Evergreen Ltd.
Confirmed for this year's event are 55 international wholesalers/travel agent companies from Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, Europe, China and the USA, 96 sellers from 49 local tourism companies, and 10 overseas Media reps from Australia, New Caledonia and New Zealand, and Europe. This year’s Tok Tok is popular with pre and post tours allowing buyers to travel to Tanna, Espiritu Santo, and the option to extend to Malekula.

The Vanuatu Tourism Office is working closely with the Tafea Tourism Council, Espiritu Santo Tourism Association, and Malampa Travel Call Centre in finalizing the outer islands itineraries. The Marketing Manager remarks, “The industry has responded well with the new concept with the core focus of having the buyers experience our products to add to their confidence in selling Vanuatu as a preferred destination choice. And to touch base with our branding exercise which is to 'discover what matters', we want to allow our buyers experience in order to discover our fantastic range of products”.
