Year 13 students of the schools of Port-Vila (French School JMG Le Clézio, LAB, Montmartre, Malapoa College and Central School) will participate to the scientific week with the students coming from overseas. From Monday 22nd to Saturday 27th of September, activities, visits and challenges will be offered to strengthen the scientific knowledge and to create bonds which will help the students in their future and maybe they will discover their own vocation.
On Friday 26th of September scientific projects prepared by the students will be displayed during the whole day in the conference room of Le Lagon resort. Anybody is warmly welcome to come and listen explanations of these young scientists as they will present the work achieved during the year. This day “Science Fair” is open to all and the entrance is free. All the schools of Port-Vila can come and present a project and any person interested in science is welcome to visit this exhibition while listening to the comments of those who made the projects.
This International Science Week (ISW) has been possible thanks to the financial support of AEFE (Agence pour l’Enseignement Français à l’Etranger), UNELCO, Digicel, BRED bank and the French Embassy. Local scientific experts have been very helpful and have opened their doors to the students as they could participate to various and fascinating activities. We would like to thank them one more time: IRD, Greentech, Cofely, Unelco, VMGD, the department of forests, the department of fisheries and the Summit.
To enjoy a great scientific experience, come and visit the Science Fair on the 26th of September from 9:00 am at Le Lagon conference room resort. Official rewards ceremony at 4:00 pm.
